Tigers at a Chinese zoo have eaten so much that they no longer want to accept meat from visitors. They behave lethargically and show no interest in food. A dog saved two girls by throwing itself under the wheels of a motorcycle In 2011, in the Philippines, the dog Kabang (translated from the Visaya language as “spotted”) committed a heroic act. She threw herself under the wheels of a motorcycle, which came around the corner and was heading towards two girls, the granddaughters of the dog’s owner: three-year-old Princes and 11-year-old Dina. Kabang saved the girls, but her nose and lower jaw were torn off. A dog's self-sacrifice for children has touched people around the world. Philippine veterinarians saved the tail's life, but surgery was required in the United States so that Kabang could live as comfortably as possible. Both ordinary residents of the Philippines and animal protection organizations sent donations for the dog’s treatment. Complex operations and rehabilitation took eight months, but in the end doctors managed to partially restore Kabang’s jaw, as well as save her from a developing cancerous tumor. In 2013, Kabang returned to her homeland, and her owners were endlessly happy to see their baby alive. 📲We are at MAX: https://max.ru/likes_animals 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot

Tupaya is the only animal in the world that feeds only on “beer” - fermented sap of the Bertama palm with a strength of about 3.8% alcohol. This sap naturally ferments directly in the palm flowers, and tupayas drink it regularly. According to scientists, if you recalculate the volume of drinks per person’s weight, in one night the tupaya “masters” the equivalent of 2857 0.5 liter bottles of beer - and at the same time remains absolutely sober. The secret is that the tupaya’s body has evolved to adapt to such a diet: alcohol is processed very quickly and does not affect the behavior of the animal. For her, this is not entertainment, but a regular source of energy. Interestingly, this makes the tupaya one of the few mammals that regularly drinks alcohol in nature - and perhaps the most resistant to it. Moral: nature sometimes develops skills that a person can only dream of. 📲We are at MAX: https://max.ru/likes_animals 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot

😲😳In August 1905, a fourteen-year-old girl named Ruth Patterson made a decision that would change two lives forever. Orphaned after a deadly apartment building fire claimed the lives of their parents, Ruth and her six-week-old baby brother Daniel were sent to an orphanage in New York. There, Ruth was given devastating news: the shelter did not place infants and teenagers together. Daniel will be sent elsewhere or kept until he is old enough to be adopted. Ruth will be accommodated separately. Ruth refused. On the morning of the Orphan Train's departure for Nebraska, Ruth stole Daniel from the nursery and hid him in a large leather duffel bag. The matron decided that the bag contained only a few of Ruth's belongings. No one knew that Ruth had secretly cut small holes in the bottom so her brother could breathe. For three days Ruth carried the baby hidden at her feet. She miraculously kept Daniel quiet during boarding, rocked him in shaking cars, fed him during overnight stops, and changed his diaper in the train bathroom whenever she could. Every moment was filled with fear because she knew that if they were discovered, they would be sent back to New York and separated forever. Daniel was never found. At a station in Nebraska, a farming couple—the Johnson family—selected Ruth for the device, impressed by her strength and maturity. They took Ruth and her bag home in their wagon. Only upon arriving at the farm did Ruth unpack the bag and reveal baby Daniel hidden inside. The Johnsons were shocked. Trembling, Ruth told them everything: about the fire, the rules of the shelter, the theft, the shelter, and her horror of losing her brother. She begged him not to send Daniel back alone. Looking at the child - and at Ruth's haggard face - they saw not deception, but desperate love. After a short conversation they made a decision. “They sent us two,” they said. - “We will raise two.” A Tintype photograph taken the same day shows fourteen-year-old Ruth holding six-week-old Daniel, next to the bag that saved his life. The look on her face is pure relief. Behind them, the Johnsons, who had planned to welcome one child and decided to open their hearts to two, smile. Ruth and Daniel grew up together on the Johnson farm. Daniel had the last name Johnson, but he always knew his real name—and the truth: that his sister had risked everything to save him. Ruth later married and remained close to Daniel throughout her life. The Johnsons never reported Ruth's action, believing that love was more important than rules. Ruth lived to the age of 87 and died in 1978. Daniel died in 1974 at the age of 69. They lived together for nearly seven decades because one teenager refused to let her brother be taken away from her—and because one family chose compassion over convenience. In a 1975 testimony, Ruth said simply: “This photograph shows what love looked like. Desperation to stay together. And generosity is keeping a child you didn’t choose.” 📲We are at

In the photo - Asian buffalo leech They grow up to 20 centimeters in length! They live in the countries of Southeast Asia. They prefer standing water and specialize in livestock. In the wild, where there are no livestock, they attach themselves to reptiles and mammals, and sometimes to large fish. It’s interesting that when I looked for information about them, it turned out that these leeches are actively traded and they are expensive! One “baby” of such a leech costs $350! “Baby” leeches up to 4 centimeters in size! Why do they pay so much money? They are purchased as exotic pets due to their impressive size. 📲We are at MAX: https://max.ru/likes_animals 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot

Do you think this is the mouth of some mythical monster? Crazy creation of a neural network? No, it's just the mouth of a harmless leatherback turtle. And these creepy thorns are not teeth at all, but just... thorns? They consist of keratin and are more similar in structure to our hair or nails. Not only the turtle’s mouth is spiked, but also its esophagus. But why? To eat comfortably. Leatherback turtles feed on jellyfish and other gelatinous creatures, and when feeding, they also swallow a lot of water. Then they return all the water back, and the notches in their mouths hold the slimy food that the turtles swallowed and do not allow it to return to the outside along with the water. The spikes are directed inward to the turtle, so they do not interfere with the absorption of jellyfish. 📲We are at MAX: https://max.ru/likes_animals 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot

Rospotrebnadzor recorded an outbreak of mouse fever in Russia According to the department, in the first 10 months of 2025, more than 3.3 thousand Russians became infected with “mouse fever” - one and a half times more than last year. Rodents carry the infection, but do not get sick themselves. Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome is transmitted through food and drinking water contaminated with the excretions of mice and rats, as well as by inhalation of dust containing their excrement. “Symptoms include headache, fever, back pain and signs of kidney damage. The disease is dangerous because the early stages of its manifestation can resemble the flu or other cold infections with a pronounced febrile syndrome,” Vladimir Neronov, doctor of medical sciences, told Izvestia. 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot

This cutie can easily be confused with a domestic cat, but the Ant Tiger is not a cute cat, but 2 kg of pure fury. Don't let its size and big, touching eyes fool you: this cutie is a ferocious African predator. It lives in the former burrows of other animals or in abandoned termite mounds, and in just one night an average of 14 small animals - from reptiles to rodents - become its prey. 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot

Non-existent blood type for terrarium employee Singh Abu, who once noticed that he suffered a cobra bite without even a slight burning sensation. Having repeated the dangerous experiment with the viper, he was convinced that he didn’t care about snake venom. And soon he began to earn big money, wandering naked among the reptiles swarming in a glass cage. He was bitten several times by the most dangerous reptiles, but he simply did not pay attention to them. The doctors paid attention to him. Having taken Sinha's blood for analysis, they discovered that the cobra's venom, breaking down in it, turns into a nutritional component. Further study of the blood led them to confusion, since it did not belong to any of the existing groups; its composition and properties have no analogues on Earth. 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot

One adult oyster can filter more than 90 liters of water per day. That's why New Yorkers have set a goal to grow and stock 1 billion oysters in the bay by 2035. There are already almost 30 million of them there - thanks to schoolchildren and restaurateurs. Restaurants donate used oyster shells, and schoolchildren grow oyster embryos in them. This is what I understand, a real biology project for schoolchildren. Grandiose! 🏀 Hit the hoop and get an NFT gift — https://t.me/BasketbolX_bot
