🇮🇳India Mandates SIM Binding for 📱 WhatsApp, Telegram📱 The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has ordered #WhatsApp, #Telegram, Signal, Snapchat and other messaging apps to enforce mandatory SIM binding within 90 days.Users will no longer be able to use these apps without the registered Indian SIM physically inserted and active in the device — even on Wi-Fi. Web versions must log out every 6 hours and require fresh QR-code verification.The rule, issued under the Telecom Cyber Security Rules 2024, aims to curb cyber fraud by preventing criminals from using Indian numbers without the actual SIM.
