unscheduled post: after a lot of consideration, the admin of this channel has made a choice. from now on, the chat/comments secion will have a stronger moderation policy up until now, the policy was "if you have done nothing wrong in this channel and you dont make others uncomfortable, you can stay. everybody deserves a chance to grow and heal" from now on, the policy will be "if you have been caught expressing bad takes, bigotry, or being problematic enough in other telegram chats, you wont be allowed to participate in the comments section/chat" this was originally going to be a poll rather than a statement, but on second thought, it should not be. take notice that this does not mean anybody will be banned from the channel. they will be banned only from the chat. this is going to be a not-looking-back change. this channel has a dangerous mix of people looking for redemption but not quite there yet, who may be on their path to heal but are still potentially damaging; and extremely vulnerable people. postponing this further, and postponing it this much already, is either risky or dangerous. a safe space as fragile as glass is no good safe space if you find yourself being banned and want to appeal, take into consideration: -investigating each ban can be a 3-4 days long task, depending on the case -admin has very very little spoons to spare -a not small number of people will be banned at first, essentially "collapsing the system" for those and some more reasons, part if not most of the "why did i get banned?" and "why did this person get banned?" will go unanswered be well

This month practice saying "I can't do that. It would hurt me" or "can I have help with (x)?" Start with a friend or family member who you feel comfortable asserting your boundaries with and keep saying no."
