language, discrimination, socialization, theory "i'm gonna say this because it's been on my mind for a while: a lot of people on here are ridiculous with why they call posts ableist. like, someone will make post on the importance of showing kindness and use the term "empathy" and some clearly extremely bored person will jump on the post yelling at them for being ableist towards people with disorders that involve a lack of empathy. in pretty much all these instances op literally just didn't know there’s a difference between empathy and compassion since the terms are used in the same way often. why the fuck can't you just nicely clarify the difference instead of screenshotting posts and making a damn callout? why can no one on here communicate? you don't even come across as someone who cares about social issues, just a self-victimizing asshole."
