How to get clients on upwork as a beginner📌 I’ve seen a lot of questions lately from new freelancers struggling to land clients on Upwork. I’ve been there myself, and I know how frustrating it can be. So, I wanted to share a few things that helped me get started and hopefully help someone out: 1. Focus on smaller jobs first: When you’re new, it’s hard to get big projects right away. Start with quick, simple tasks (even $5–$15 gigs) to build reviews. Clients feel more confident hiring someone with a history of completed jobs. 2. Personalize your proposals: Don’t copy-paste generic proposals. Read the job post carefully, mention specific details from it, and explain how you’ll solve their problem. Keep it short, but show you’ve done your homework. 3. Update your profile: Make your title and overview client-focused. Instead of listing your skills, highlight how you help clients achieve their goals. Also, a professional profile picture makes a difference. 4. Stay consistent: It takes time to build momentum. Apply to a few jobs daily, but make sure they match your skills. Quality over quantity works better.
