Сходили на днях с другом на территорию Пулковской Обсерватории. Очень грустно было зайти в заброшенную часть, где ржавеют останки радиотелескопа и другого оборудования. Прямо почувствовали, как когда-то всё это было новое, блестело, двигалось, механизмы работали, зубчатые колеса вращались, тросы тянули, приборы снимали показания. А теперь вот так.
На входе нет никаких запрещающих табличек или заборов, нас никто не останавливал. Как я понимаю, это уже почти официально музейные экспонаты.
Дрон, кстати, не взлетает, не даёт даже винты запустить — территория попадает в охранную зону аэропорта. Разве что на каком-то самосборном можно там летать, но у нас такого не было.

🛎The first Waldorf Astoria hotel opens in Bali: second attempt
📰 The Hilton hotel group is expanding its presence in Bali. Waldorf Astoria Bali will be located between the Hilton and Kempinski hotels in Nusa Dua, 14.5 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport. The hotel is scheduled to open in late 2027.
🏨 Waldorf Astoria Bali will include 71 spacious villas and 68 guest suites, as well as the standard infrastructure for a chain hotel — restaurants, a spa, a fitness center, children's entertainment, and event rooms.
ℹ️ Waldorf Astoria had already announced the opening of its hotel in Bali in 2014. At that time, the location was chosen near Pandawa Beach in the south of the island. The opening was planned for 2027, but something went wrong. The massive concrete unfinished building can still be seen on the cliff to the left of the entrance to Pandawa Beach.

🏨 Famous Mandarin Oriental plans to open a luxury resort on the Bukit Peninsula in 2027. The new project will feature 110 rooms, suites and villas, all of which will blend in with the natural surroundings.
🕺 Renowned interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes is involved in the project. He designs luxury hotels and residences.
📍 The location of the resort will be 30 minutes from the international airport. Close to popular tourist areas such as Jimbaran, Uluwatu and Nusa Dua.
