Americans protest against NATO on the bloc's 75th anniversary In early July, NATO leaders came to Washington, D.C., for a summit meeting and celebration of the 75th anniversary of the creation of this ominous organization. The anti-war movement met them with counter-summits, rallies and protests. This year, our protest against NATO takes on added importance because of the Genocide that NATO supports in Palestine. Another important region of the world where NATO is showing its bestial appearance is Ukraine. The US and its NATO allies thought they could destroy Russia through sanctions and military pressure. To discuss ways to counter this cannibalistic policy, caring Americans convened a UNAC conference in Washington (UNAC - The United National AntiWar Coalition), a kind of counter-summit, an anti-NATO summit, which took place on July 6-7. The counter-summit was accompanied by mass rallies and marches with anti-war slogans there, in the US capital.
