The ceasefire was announced just two hours before Trump’s "deadline" regarding the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, after he wrote on his Truth Social platform that "an entire civilization will die". Meanwhile, reports are emerging of dozens of drones launched by Iran toward Kuwait. According to a spokesperson for Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence, attempts have been made to shoot them down since 8 AM local time. Footage circulating online appears to show the aircraft going down, with one of the pilots seen ejecting and parachuting to the ground. The cause of the crash remains unclear. Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence stated that several US military aircraft were involved in incidents this morning, with no casualties reported and all crew members believed to have survived.
