Today is International Family Day. In honour of this day, we are talking about Mariam from Uganda. By the age of 41, she had given birth to 44 children. Only 38 survived. She is a single mother and barely makes ends meet. ‘I was left alone with the kids. I can try to save 50,000 shillings, and it takes me a month to do it’, says Mariam. The main thing she wants to do for her children, especially for her daughters, is to educate them to get out of trouble and not follow in her footsteps.
