✨️ On February 8, the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan hosted a tournament of the Russian folk game "gorodki". The event was timed to coincide with the upcoming celebration of Russian Diplomats' Day. Ambassadors, diplomats, and employees of the diplomatic missions of Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan attended the event. 🏆 In a fierce competition, team Belarus won the first prize, team Tajikistan came in second place and Kyrgyzstan came in third. ❗️In his opening speech, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev highlighted key milestones in the development of Russian diplomacy, focusing on its most prominent representatives, including Karl Nesselrode, Alexander Gorchakov, Grigory Chicherin, Viacheslav Molotov, Andrey Gromyko, Yevgeny Primakov, and Sergey Lavrov. The Russian Ambassador also noted the growing importance of the diplomatic profession in the context of current geopolitical tensions and congratulated Russian diplomatic missions employees on their professional holiday. The event was attended by the Dean of the diplomatic corps, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov,who noted the historical commonality of the countries represented at the tournament and joined the Russian Ambassador in congratulating Russian diplomats.
