The Nelson Mandela statue on the Union Buildings grounds, Pretoria, Gauteng, stands nine meters tall. The statue was unveiled in 2013, on the Day of Reconciliation (16 December), bringing the official mourning period of ten days to a close, after Mandela died on December 5.
