The Sverdlovsk Regional Library and the Office of the Honorary Consul of South Africa in Yekaterinburg are co-hosting the launch of the Russian edition of Jim Is Tired of Jo’burg, a book by the South African Ambassador Mzuvukile Maqetuka. This marks the first time a book by Ambassador Maqetuka has been translated into Russian, a project initiated by Sergey Mazurkevich, the Honorary Consul of South Africa in Yekaterinburg. WHERE: 15 Belinskogo St., Foreign Literature Department (annex building, closer to Krasnoarmeyskaya St.), 4th floor. WHEN: Friday, December 20, 6:00 PM–8:00 PM. ADMISSION: Free. LANGUAGE: Russian. The event will include a dialogue with the book’s translator, Dr. Dmitry Pobedash, and the editor of the translation, Dr. Mikhail Brodsky, a staff member at the Office of the Honorary Consul of South Africa.
