🌍🇿🇦South African Honorary Consul Opened the African Youth Conference On October 2, Yekaterinburg hosted the conference Education, Science, and Innovation: Driving Forces of African Youth Development, marking Guinea’s Independence Day. 🎓 🎤 Opening the event, the Honorary Consul of South Africa in Yekaterinburg, Sergey Mazurkevich, stressed the importance of education in strengthening ties between Russia and African countries. He also highlighted that the Embassy of South Africa has asked the Honorary Consulate in Yekaterinburg to serve as an “outpost of Africa in the Urals.”🌍 🤝 The President of the African Club of Yekaterinburg, Hervé Gbilimou, thanked the Honorary Consul for his continued support of African student initiatives and presented him with a letter of appreciation. ✨ Mr. Mazurkevich assured that the Consulate will remain committed to supporting African projects and partnerships in the region. 🎤 Other welcoming remarks came from: • Aleksandr Kharlov, Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yekaterinburg • Lyudmila Berg, Deputy Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of Sverdlovsk Region • Amadou Negue, Representative of the Guinean Diaspora in Moscow • Sergey Tushin, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Ural Federal University 🏛 The conference brought together representatives of all major universities in Yekaterinburg.
