🗓 April 4 marks the birthday of Hugh Ramapolo Masekela (1939 – 2018), an iconic South African trumpeter, composer, singer, and cultural activist, nicknamed "the father of South African jazz." 🎺 🎷 Masekela was renowned for his jazz compositions and powerful anti-apartheid songs.
