Exclusive from Syria: By Steven Sahiounie, journalist and political commentator The Syrian government on Sunday strongly condemned what it described as the execution of detainees and prisoners by the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD/SDF) in the city of Al-Tabqa, as Syrian Army forces continued their rapid advance across strategic areas west of the Euphrates River. In an official statement, Damascus accused the QSD and factions affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), designated by Syria and several regional states as a terrorist organization, of carrying out executions in Al-Tabqa prior to their withdrawal from the city in the Raqqa countryside.
