[PIUS XII] To live the Holy Week Holy Thursday. The eucharistic presence. Christ has a human and divine presence, through which wherever a priest with the almighty word of His raises up a loaf and a cupH, worshiping what he has done in memory of Him, there He stands with His minister, walks with Him, e becomes our food, viaticum of the dying and the unhappy, brother, spouse, father, doctor, comfort and life of souls, bread of angels. As long as an ear of wheat sprouts on the fields of our globe and a bunch of grapes hangs, and a priest thinks of the sacrifice goes up the altar, the divine Guest will be with us; and the believer will bend his mind and knee in faith before a consecrated Host, as the apostles at the Last Supper in the consecrated bread and wine that the Saviour gave them, saying: This is my body; This is my blood; they worshiped Christ. 28th of April 1939
