SAINTS PRIMUS AND FELICIANUS, MARTYRS Primus and Felicianus, Romans and Germanic brothers, accused during the persecution of the emperors Diocletian and Maximian of being Christians, were thrown in prison despite their old age; but released by an Angel, they were freed from it. Conducted to Promotus, praetor of Nomentum (in Sabina), they energetically persevered in the Christian faith, they were separated from each other; at first various times was put to the test the constancy of Felicianus. But the conselors of impiety, desperate of obtaining nothing from words, they nailed hands and feet to a trunk, leaving him suspended for three days without eating nor drinking.
