Articles regarding the Thesis of Cassiciacum For those interested in knowing more about the analysis of the current crisis and the potential solution out of it, formulated by the late Dominican Bp. Guérard des Lauriers, here are a series of articles released by the Roman Catholic Institute. The Thesis, so called amongst sedevacantists, gets a lot of harsh criticism for allegedly being too "soft" on the Novus Ordo, which is frankly undeserved. The Thesis presents a much more clear-cut argument for why the seat is vacant in Rome because it does not rely on the personal heresy in the man that is currently dressed in a white cassock. This completely by-passes any arguments over pertinacity of heresy, admonitions, etc. which R&R folk use to counter against the sedevacantists, which are valid counter-arguments if not at least bog you down when arguing for the Catholic position. Regardless of your opinions on the Thesis, these articles are very informative and I highly recommend them, you can learn a lot about our Catholic faith from them. I hope that they are of benefit to you. The little Catechism on the Thesis - START HERE On the Indefectibility of the Church On the lack of intention to accept the Papacy On the pastoral nature of Vatican II (Great quotes against R&R whenever they mention VatII was merely "pastoral") The errors of the recognise and resist system (Complete refutation of R&R) The New Doctrine of Vatican II On the canonical crime of heresy (good section on why Cum ex apostolatus is not that great to argue with) Answers to objections based on the universal peaceful acceptance On the heretical pope On being a Pope Materially - By Most Rev. Donald J. Sanborn On Collegiality - shows how the Vatican II doctrine of collegiality is a substantial departure from Catholic doctrine On the New Ecclesiology - presents the Vatican II changes on the doctrine of the nature of the Church to introduce an ecumenist theology of communion There are more articles on the way and I will update this post accordingly when they are released.
