⚠️Coinbase is betting on “1-person product teams” powered by AI Coinbase is testing a radical shift in how software gets built: shrinking product teams down to a single high-context operator, supported by AI agents. The move comes alongside a ~14% workforce cut, as CEO Brian Armstrong pushes a new operating model built around AI leverage. The idea is simple: AI now handles much of what used to require separate roles, coding, design, even parts of product thinking. Instead of PMs, designers, and engineers working in pods, one person can potentially run the full loop and delegate repetitive work to AI tools. To support this, Coinbase is flattening its org structure, reducing management layers, and expecting leaders to stay hands-on builders rather than coordinators. @aipost🏴
