Google introduces AI health coach within new app Google has launched an AI health coach powered by Gemini as part of a new health app initiative. This tool integrates data on fitness, sleep, nutrition, cycle tracking, weather, and United States medical records to provide continuous coaching and health insights. The update repositions the Fitbit app as Google Health, consolidating features such as fitness tracking, sleep and cycle data, vital signs, and compatibility with connected devices. There are plans to support future data transfers from Google Fit. While Fitbit hardware remains central, the app becomes the main platform for Gemini-driven health coaching, Google Health Premium services, and the Fitbit Air ecosystem.
