Well, shit. I haven't had the mcdonalds app installed since the MB911 or maybe the Galaxy S2 at the latest. They require you to not have root. That alone is a term I cannot accept. Especially from mcdonalds. Think about it. Why can't I have root on my phone? What do they think Im going to do with root that's going to hurt their business model? Your bank might require you to be unrooted, and I see the reasons. Your proprietary music service might require you to not be rooted, and I see the reasons. But mcdonalds? What do they not want you to see? What control over your device do they not want you exercising while their app is installed? What is it doing that they want to hide from you? But this is a pretty egregious engineering oversight, given they were still producing defective cars in 2020, hardly two years before 3G flipped off.
