If you like the interface and features of Telegram, you'll hate XMPP because there's no implementation like what you're used to. But it might be a nice place for us all to end up IFF telegram goes to shit, because any cunt can host a server and it's an open platform which (I think?) gave birth to incredibly popular surveillance services such as [facebook] Messenger and Whatsapp but then, hey, I'm not doing anything illegal or edgy so I'm fine
