I wouldn't say "AI bad", given the broad category we call "AI". Classifiers won't hurt you much, like those that can identify plants and animals - if they help you learn about the world, great! Using AI as a search filter can help (but AI search summaries tend to not) if used cautiously - but don't lose your ability to search for information! Asking an AI system for code review is a better idea than asking an AI system for code. There are right and wrong times for everything, I guess, but you can say the same about drinking and smoking, too. The point is to know what you're putting into your mind and understand what you're losing when you delegate cognition. Another idea I have is to employ a lot of doubt when AI says or does ANYTHING, and I mean literally anything. If you EVER use a chatbot answer as actual "proof" of something, you fucked up. Evidence? Maybe. Proof, no, no matter how well supported the clanker's argument is, it is NOT proof. If some genius has a special mathematics model, and it produces mathematical proofs, that's a different story, I'm not talking about that...
