​​I just used ChatGPT to finish an assignment for my class, what's next? ChatGPT is a conversational AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, a startup founded by Silicon Valley's leading innovators like Elon Musk, Sam Altman and such. ChatGPT can hold a conversation, and provide in-depth answers to your questions but sometimes it's not correct or misleading so you shouldn't trust it much. Although it did create a simple discussion post for my class based on the info I provided, it can't be used for generating more complex essays or research papers. In a world where we have instant access to information (i.e. Google), it would be interesting to see the role of AI in obtaining information. Before, you had to google and go to stackoverflow to get started on writing your code, but now you just have to ask the AI and it will do it for you no questions asked. I don't know what future holds for AI and AI platforms, but I think it will take a while, if not forever, for them to become sentient beings.
