Embrace Failure A friend once told me that they would never take part in a competition unless they are certain they would win. Last week, I had my first swimming competition on 50m freestyle, and I came last. Do I regret taking part in it? No. I sure knew I was not going to win that race. I thought about backing out until the very last minute. But I did the race anyway. Why? Because I needed to start somewhere. If you keep chasing perfectionism, you will rob yourself of the journey and embracing the imperfect. Now I'm fired up more than ever and actively preparing for the competition taking place in the fall. All that being said, do not refrain from starting something new, and do not wait to be perfect to take part in challenges for sure. You learn from failing a lot and reflecting on those failures. Nike always had it right. Just do it. @noordievdev
