But how can I love it more? Passion for a field is a common trait among all top-level achievers. Noticing this fact, a person can't help himself from the seemingly foolish thought - how do I become more passionate about a field? An answer, I know to this question is - stories. Reading autobiographies, watching documentaries about the lives of those excellers is a way to feel more motivated about the field - to feel more love for the intricacies of it. In my own experience, this idea holds very much. If a few years ago somebody would ask why I was pushing that much, I would say - because I overlistened to the lecture series "Buyuklarning sirlari" by Abdulloh domla. Of course, my all-time favourite autobiography is "Munqidh min al-dhalal" by Al-Ghazali, and I always carry the book "Men of Mathematics". It is lovely to read how Newton would forget to eat properly but think about the universe. Such stories always make you think - What it feels like to be them? p.s. image is of night Zurich from my lab
