Scam alert: Fake phone calls pretending to be from CPF Board ⚠️Top warning signs – How scammers trick you to stay on the call 1. Claim that your Singpass was used to buy a SIM card at Changi Airport for committing crimes in China 2. Accuse you of being involved in crimes like money laundering and pressure you to hand over valuables such as cash, gold bars and jewellery for "investigation" 3. Offer to help fix issues with your CPF account or guide you on schemes like CareShield Life Methods used by scammers: • Automated voice recording system impersonating CPF Board, claiming they've been trying to reach you and prompting you to select a language option • Call your landlines since caller ID isn’t displayed • Transfer your call to "Chinese police" • Challenge you to call CPF's main hotline (1800-227-1188) or visit Maxwell Service Centre, to make you trust them
