R haplogroup is not from South Asia I am not a person belonging to haplocope culture but recently i was asked whether R haplogroup came from south Asia Answer is no R haplogroup and it's branches are well spread in caucasoid world. We have well known ancestor of R haplogroup aka K2B which is also known as P haplogroup . Oldest K2b aka P haplogroup was found in tianyuan sample of china.Now do not confuse this with modern east asians because tianyuan lacked edar gene responsibile for monolid eye structure.
