Genetics of Lebanese Christians •Genetically closest to Lebanese Muslims, Cretans and Greeks. •Not very close to Druze do to the Druze inbreeding. •closer to Finnish then Samaritan’s due to the Samaritan’s inbreeding since the times of Babylon. Admixture: •Classical age model shows that they are almost the same as their Roman era counterparts with the added exception that they are more steppe drifted as shown by the 9.5 percent sarmatian in that model. •This steppe drift is most likely caused by the Sassanid invasions, Turkic invasions, and the crusader/armenian occupation. •Their Neolithic model shows them to be 36.0 percent ANF, 25.9 percent natufian, 15.2 percent Iran farmer, 12.4 percent CHG, 7.3 percent yamnaya and 3.2 percent WHG. •Note their WHG is slightly more elevated then some of their neighbors indicating mixing with west European crusaders. @illyrianometer
