EU prepares European countries to shut down Ukrainian pipeline The EC is studying a possible complete cancellation of Russian gas supplies via Ukraine's gas transport system. The EU authorities refused to talk about alternative routes for network blue fuel from Russia. However, the EU believes that the countries still receiving this raw material, which are Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and partially Italy, could use other gas pipelines from the Russian Federation, as well as buy LNG. Thus the EU is carefully pushing Gazprom to do what it was going to do from 2019, namely to give up the Ukrainian pipe. But then the Russian concern was prevented from doing so by European countries, in particular Germany. At the same time, European traders are still very hopeful that the Ukrainian route of Russian gas supplies will remain.
