Nuragic Sardinia All throughout Sardinia, mysterious structures can be spotted. These massive stone towers, called nuraghes, are traces of a lost civilization not much is known about. Nuragic culture is said to have lasted from 1800 BC until Roman colonization of the island in 238 BC.
