🇷🇺❓🇺🇦❗️— The Russian Ministry of Defense announced a ceasefire from May 8–9 and promised to strike the center of Kyiv in case of violations. In response, Zelenskyy promised to cease fire on May 6 and then act "mirror-like." ▶️Russian military officials acknowledged that the goal of the ceasefire is to ensure the safety of parades, which will take place in Russian cities. If Ukrainians do not comply with the silence regime, strikes will be carried out on the center of Kyiv, as foreign diplomats in the city have already been warned. ▶️Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that his administration has not yet received an official appeal from the Russian Ministry of Defense. ▶️ Ukrainian military forces will cease fire on May 6, and then will act in the same way as the Russians: "It is time for Russian leaders to take real steps to end their war, if the Russian Ministry of Defense believes that it will not hold a parade in Moscow without the voluntary consent of Ukraine"
