The Face We See The face we see is the mask they carry. The face we see is the part they show to feel free. The face we see is the instinct they’ve carried from childhood till now. The face we see helps them stay connected with other human animals, and keeps them within the boundaries they set to survive. The face we see is not just muscles or expressions — it’s the trauma, the hurt, the betrayal behind the mask they carry. The face we see is the kindness they hold beneath the loneliness, the tiredness, and the pain they feel. The face we see is the correction they make with every breath they take. The face we see is the mask they wear among humans — a mask that may protect, or may destroy. Sometimes, wearing it is wise, for the world knows how to use you against yourself. But among hearts that are pure, this mask becomes a cage. If you never remove it, you’ll suffocate in your own disguise. Learn to take it off — to breathe, to heal, to be you. 🦅
