The less talent a person has, the more they hide behind pride, vanity, and arrogance, using empty confidence to mask their weakness. They fear being exposed, so they speak loudly, mistaking noise for wisdom. But fools do not stand alone. They seek others just as blind, creating an illusion of greatness through empty praise. No amount of arrogance can replace true skill, and no applause can turn ignorance into ability. In the land of the blind, the oneeyed man is king. Yet even he is mocked by those too blind to see their own chains. True worth never comes from borrowed voices, nor from crowns made of flattery. For when the noise fades, the hollow are left with only silence. And silence reveals the truth they feared most. That emptiness dressed as brilliance remains emptiness still. Desiderius Erasmus
