Israeli Deputy Minister of Culture and Sport Yaakov Tessler is accused of covering up the child rape of his father, Rabbi Efraim Tessler. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz; Rabbi Efraim Tessler sexually abused a 15-year-old boy who was a student at a Jewish religious school in 2017. His son, Deputy Minister Yaakov Tessler, made a deal with the student in question to keep quiet. The investigation file was handed over to the prosecutor's office about six months ago, but the prosecutor's office is avoiding the investigation and obstructing the process.
