A voice among the rubble in the north of Gaza: "O you who believe! Seek Allah's help with patience and prayer. Surely Allah is with the patient. "Do not call those who are killed in the way of Allah 'dead'; no, they are alive. "But you do not realise it. We shall try you with a little fear, a little hunger and a little loss of wealth, lives and crops. Give glad tidings to the patient! When a calamity befalls them: They say: "Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return". For such there is forgiveness and mercy from their Lord. These are the ones who are on the right path." (Al-Baqarah, 153-156)
