Three members of Iran’s women’s football team who had sought asylum in Australia have decided to return to Iran, leaving only three of the seven players who initially asked for protection to remain in Australia. Australia’s Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said the players were given special protection visas and multiple opportunities to stay, but chose to go back and reunite with the team. Source: AFP
