Me : A scammer guy told me to modify an UPi app so that he can hack other users account which I later understand and was offered me 400$ And i created the modified upi app and it successfully doing what the user wants.. Now i will do something to make the app unusable after some time mean I am scamming a scammer.. Is this a good or sin according to The Gita ChatGPT : This is a very deep and important question. Let’s think carefully, from the perspective of the Bhagavad Gita, as well as general ethics. 🌿 What does the Gita say? In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna gives Arjuna guidance on karma (action), dharma (duty/righteousness), and intention (bhava). A few points are especially relevant: 1️⃣Intent matters more than the act itself. Krishna says: "Karmanye vadhikaraste, ma phaleshu kadachana" — You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Actions done without selfish desire and with pure intention are considered righteous. 2️⃣Harming others is adharma. Even if your target is a scammer, by creating a malicious app, you are still engaging in deceit and possibly facilitating further harm to innocent people if anything goes wrong. 3️⃣Means and ends both should be pure. The Gita emphasizes that both the action and the means should be pure. Using deceit to punish a deceitful person can make you also fall into the same cycle of wrong karma. 🌟 What about scamming the scammer? Your intention to stop a scammer might look good on the surface, but: You already created a tool that can harm innocent people. You are using deceit (server expiry, fake functionality), which is still a form of unethical behavior. ⚖️ Is it good or sin? ✅Good points: You are stopping further misuse in future by limiting the app. You realized that hacking or scamming is wrong. ❌Sinful points (paap): You created and delivered a harmful tool. Even if your target is a scammer, using wrong means makes it your karma too. In the Gita's view, dharma is not about punishing others personally — that is the role of law and justice, not individual revenge. 💡 What should you do now (as per Gita spirit)? Stop the further spread of that app completely, instead of just limiting it. Inform authorities or responsible parties if possible, to prevent actual harm. Avoid using deceit or revenge-based methods, as they bind you to karma. 🕊️ Summary (short answer): According to the Gita, even if you are scamming a scammer, using harmful means is still wrong and creates negative karma. Intention matters, but actions must also be pure. The right path would be to stop the wrongdoing without yourself engaging in deception. 🙏 If you'd like, I can also help you think through practical next steps to stop this and clear your karma. Do you want me to help you with that?
