Over a dozen protesters carried banners and placards reading: 'House the Irish First' 'Éire will no longer be run by EU puppets' 'South Dublin says No' 'Close the borders' 'Stop the invasion' 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

They've gone. D4SaysNO the most successful and fastest opposition campaign in Irish history! They didn't even have to make a banner. >Some 15 homeless asylum seekers have been moved on from Ballsbridge in Dublin after setting up tents their last night. >Ms Holland said the asylum seekers were packing up by 8am this morning and were unsure of what lay ahead. >“They will regroup and decide where to pitch tents tonight, they’re on the move around the city to find somewhere to stay and hopefully not have to move every night.” 🔗newstalk.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

Ballsbridge park unsuitable for asylum seekers. -Labour leader and local TD Ivana Bacik. Will Trinity students from the Dept of Sociology be down to oppose their removal or do they only do that in working class areas? 🔗 x.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

Ballsbridge asylum seekers the top story on Newstalk. "Obviously they were noticed by some of the residents who came down and were investigating what was going on, and quickly after that gardaí arrived, and the parish priest here that owns the little park came down to investigate, and he said they could stay here overnight as long as they were gone first thing in the morning." Quite different to what happened when they pitched tents on Sandwith St. #D4SaysNo 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

Asylum seekers pitch up opposite a 5-star hotel in the affluent south Dublin neighbourhood of Ballsbridge after being warned that tents can no longer be erected near the IPO around Mount Street. Up to 15 men, from Afghanistan and Somalia, arrived at St Mary’s Church Park on St Mary’s Road shortly before 9pm last night on the suggestion of volunteers. The small park is the property of St Mary’s Catholic Church on Haddington Road. Gardaí advised they would be patrolling the area through the night. They said they did not want “the situation to escalate” and asked that the men leave the park before local primary schools opened on Friday morning. 🔗irishtimes.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland
