An Irish student on reddit who is doing a Masters course at UCD's Smurfit School says he now regrets paying so much to move to Dublin and do the course due to the number of Indians in his class. 🔹 He says at least 70% of the other students are Indian and their lack of proficiency in English means group work "is a mess" with some Indians not bothering to show up for presentations, so he ends up doing most of the work. 🔹 He suspects the English entrance exam is inadequate to filter out poor English speakers or that the Indians 'did something else' to pass it. 🔹 Many of the tutors are also Indian with thick accents making them difficult to understand and they often answer questions in Hindi. 🔹 He says he has seen Indians take pride in cheating, using ChatGPT for entire assignments and having no interest in the coursework—"somehow many still pass." 🔹 An Indian in the replies says UCD actively promotes the courses in India and charges €14k for them. 🔗reddit.com Thanks to Rich Clear for highlighting the post on X. 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland
