A Longford woman said she believed she was going to be killed by a man who unleashed a “sustained, violent and vicious attack” on her in a park in a midlands town. Then as she lay motionless on the floor, the accused bent over and said menacingly: "I want to rape you." The court heard Slovakian national Michal Godla had never been employed in Ireland in all his 21 years living here.
