D8 Says No. There was a jubilant but defiant atmosphere in The Liberties today as Dublin 8 Says No took to the streets to protest against any new IPAS centre being established in their community. At one point, an entire Holy Communion party cheered the protesters as they marched past. The flag of the European Union was also burned. However, it appears authorities have already conceded to local concerns, as it was reported today that the expansion of the IPAS centre at Basin Lane will now not go ahead.
