In February, several online accounts reported an attack on a woman in Athlone but a Garda statement denied receiving any reports. Yesterday, an asylum seeker was arrested at Crooksling IPAS centre at 7am and appeared in court accused of raping a woman in Athlone on 17 February. 🔗 x.com
