Back in March, Minister Norma Foley said the 12-bed Oldcastle House Hotel was no longer under consideration for use as an IPAS centre. Last Thursday Meath County Council cleared it for use. The hotel has previously been housing a number of Ukrainians. The small town in in northwestern Meath has a population of a little over a thousand The application for exempted development was filed by Transboil Ltd, c/o Joe Beggan with an address at Office 4 in the Old Rossmore Factory on the Dublin Road, Monaghan (Eircode H18VX08). Transboil have previously made applications for IPAS Centres in Letterkenny, Ballindrait and Castlefinn and Boyle.
