A meeting for concerned citizens in Ballaghaderreen heard that elderly residents are now afraid to do their shopping in the town due to incidents of being harassed by foreigners and having their money stolen. "And because these people that done it —and we know who done it— are underage, our guards won't do anything about it, and they also won't say what nationality they are because they don't want to be called out as racist."
