Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee, has admitted she’s too incompetent to craft the legislation required for the swift deportation of rejected asylum seekers. This is the real reason McEntee issued a blanket amnesty in 2022, granting almost 5,000 illegals and more than 3,000 asylum seekers permission to remain in Ireland under her so-called 'regularisation' scheme — she’s incapable of doing her job. The Examiner reports there's a long list of nations who are unwilling to co-operate in taking back their asylum scammers, including Nigeria, Russia, Pakistan, Algeria, Morocco, and Egypt. But this has been going on for over 25 years. Why have successive Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil-led governments failed to apply any pressure to solve the issue? This should have been their top priority.
