A record-breaking 610 international protection applicants arrived in Ireland for the week ending 5 May 2024. If this rate keeps up, we could be looking at a figure of 30,000 by the end of the year. 36% of arrivals (222) are of Nigerian origin. Nigerians have been the largest group of rejected asylum seekers in Ireland for over 25 years which successive Irish governments have done nothing about except call Irish people racist for objecting. 58 people arrived from Jordan, presumably via Britain through the use of their Electronic Travel Authorisation scheme. Looks like that's becoming a trend and we will continue to see those numbers increase. Ireland needs a Rwanda Plan. 🔗x.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland
