Pictures are doing the rounds claiming to show a pool of blood on the ground beside the cabin door of a Monaghan registered Scania HGV belonging to Carna Transport in Calais. A second picture claims to show a bloodied driver. A third picture shows some sort of incident report card. It reads "Homicide Attempt" and gives the details of the HGV. The card is dated May 17th. I can't find any news reports reflecting the details but it's not unusual for the Irish media not to report on incidents relating to migrants and Ireland in French ports. In January 2023, I posted about how French media was reporting of a surge of illegals in Cherbourg trying to stow away on trucks destined for Ireland. There had been 1,000 attempts counted in the previous October. One migrant interviewed said the reason he wanted to get to Ireland was because France had rejected his asylum application and he understood Ireland as having a more lenient asylum system. No Irish media outlets ran the story. 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland
