As we approach the spring, we can expect to see many more heavily pregnant sheep pottering around our local landscape. This early in the season, with showers still frequent, the combined weight of wet fleece and lamb can render many sheep helpless on their backs. If you see any sheep in this position, seemingly unable to right itself, head over and help out immediately! This position means certain death for any sheep (and lamb) trapped in this way, and serves as an invitation to birds to peck out vulnerable soft flesh. Help a mama out and flip a pregnant sheep over.
