10 things I wish someone told me about sleep at 18: - 7 hours isn't a flex. It's a minimum. - You can't "catch up" on lost sleep. - Alcohol doesn't help you sleep. - It sedates you. Big difference. - Eating right before bed raises your core temperature and kills sleep quality. - Your bedroom should be cold — 65-68°F is the science-backed sweet spot. - Waking up at the same time every day matters more than bedtime. - Blue light before bed cuts melatonin by up to half. - Chronic bad sleep raises your Alzheimer's risk. - Sleep is when your brain literally cleans itself (glymphatic system). - Most mental health crises are also sleep crises in disguise. Save this. Read it again every time you think staying up is worth it. 🗂 Source: @HeathSafetyTps ♻️ SHARE NOW
